Movement looks different in India; it is part of who we are. We train in climates that swing from humidity to scorching. We run through monsoon streets, practice on packed neighborhood grounds, and push our bodies in ways that don’t align with “standard” global assumptions. Yet the activewear available to us still leans on international size charts built far away from our reality.
Most global brands design their fits on broad Western or Asian templates, generic measurements that lump diverse populations into a few categories. But Indian bodies don’t fall neatly into those templates. Our proportions carry their own patterns: shorter torsos, wider hips, narrower shoulders, stronger thighs, and an incredible range shaped by sport, culture, climate, and everyday movement.
That’s why so many people face inconsistent sizing, a tee that fits the chest but clings at the waist, shorts that sit right but ride up during a run, gear that feels built for someone else entirely. The fit mismatch isn’t a small inconvenience; it’s one of the biggest reasons sportswear returns remain high across India.
At Aeir code, we knew we could not adjust to global charts. We had to rebuild fit from scratch for the Indian athlete and everyday mover. So, we started collecting India-specific measurement data, testing each silhouette on real bodies across sports, body types, and regions, and pushing them through real Indian conditions, from monsoon runs to peak-summer training, and the fit is only the beginning.
Every Aeir code piece is engineered for the way India moves. Laser-cut ventilation zones map directly to the areas that heat up fastest. Moisture-wicking layers pull sweat away to keep athletes light and dry. Two-way stretch fabrics allow full mobility without losing shape. Every material is tested for breathability, quick-dry performance, and air permeability that can stand up to our climate. This is not adapted to activewear. It’s India-made movement technology. Aeir’s code mission is simple: fit that respects the bodies, the climate, and the conditions of India, built by a brand that finally understands Indian bodies and their requirements.
